Site Location: Quincy, MA

Project Description:

Bullying has always been a serious issue for school aged children, but in this new age of technological advancement and on-line communication, cyberbullying is a serious issue that affects many students on a day to day basis. Melissa Horr, a 2009-2010 TechMission Corps member serving at the Quincy Higher Education Center in Quincy, MA initiated a cyberbullying exercise at her site to help educate her students about these issues.  This exercise simulates a painful cyberbullying scenario that takes place between friends that illustrates the hurt and mistrust that happens as a consequence of this vicious activity. This activity shows students the serious and painful ill effects of bullying and disrespecting others.
