Phoenix Rescue Mission

Organization Description:

For over 60 years, the Phoenix Rescue Mission has been a place of hope, healing, and new beginnings for countless men, women and children in our community struggling with homelessness, addiction, and trauma. Offering a hot meal, a warm shower, clean clothing and a welcome smile is often the start of a new life. We provide Christ-centered programs to men and women to help break the cycle of self-destructive patterns and to help rebuild their lives. Through faith, teaching, mentorship and compassion, broken lives are being transformed every day. Were truly privileged to serve those who come through our doors.

Mission Statement:

The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a Christ-centered ministry that provides life-transforming solutions to persons facing hunger and homelessness.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. Second Timothy 3:16-17, Second Peter 1:21, Psalms 19:7 We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-14, John 14:16 We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-25 We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also Spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:10, 23 We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all that believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. First Corinthians 15:3, Romans 5:1, Hebrews 9:22 We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. First Corinthians 15:4, Hebrews 3:1, Hebrews 7:25 We believe in that blessed hope the personal, premillenial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. First Thessalonians 4:16-18 We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and so become children of God. Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12 We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust; and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. First Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:12.
