Employment and Training Center of Union Mission, Inc.

The Employment and Training Center is one part of Union Mission, a larger organization in Savannah, Georgia, that serves the homeless and low income population. The Employment and Training Center seeks to provide employment and educational opportunities as part of the mission statement stated above. We offer Adult Literacy courses, GED preparation, Resume writing, Life Skills classes, and Computer classes for clients to build skills needed for jobs. We also offer a Culinary Arts program where students receive Serv-Safe certification and hands-on experience in a cafe conveniently located next door to their classroom. Upon graduation, they have received experience in multiple areas of the culinary field. In addition to educational services, our organization also offers employment coordination for homeless individuals who are job-seeking. For those individuals who do not have a permanent residence or phone, we also have mail, phone, and internet/computer services. All of these services are offered free of charge.
