Shalom House

Organization Description: 

The house lives in peace, works in the community for peace daily, creates a network of peacemakers and includes Circle of Hope in it.

Partners: Shalom House provides community for committed peacemakers to spend at least one year deepening and applying their calling in Philadelphia and learning about and connecting to God’s worldwide community of peacebuilders. Committed peacemakers are encouraged to stay beyond a one year term.

Interns: Shalom House will provide internships in summer 2012, for time periods that reflect the school year Fall, Spring, Summer for people who want to learn about Christian peacemaking and living in community. Interns are welcome to make a longer commitment and become Partners.

Allies: Shalom House connects with allies who cannot live in the house but want to play a supportive role in the work of Shalom House. The Allies are the Circle of Peacemakers. Here’s more info on how to be an ally.

Guests: Shalom House offers temporary housing when space allows. Guests are welcome to make a commitment to the community and become Partners, Interns or Allies.
