Organization Description: 

Association for Rivers and Coastal-Ecosystems Conservation is a Net of Indigenous People’s Community Based Organizations based in Nallamala Forest of the Krishna River Valley perched in six districts i.e.: Prakasam, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Guntur Districts, and other parts of the State, including the Indigenous People’s communities of the Cost of Bay of Bengal in to which the Krishna river runs down.

The ARCC leverage Education to respond to the challenges of Conservation of Nature in the region, and to promote the development of forests, including mangrove forests’ protection, regeneration, restoration, and agro-forestry projects through high quality multiple-benefit land-based carbon projects, in practice.

Mission Statement: 

Association for Rivers and Coastal-Ecosystems Conservation (ARCC) is dedicated to conserve, regeneration restore and enrich the Ecosystems of the Krishna River Valley and other River valleys and the Coastal Ecosystems of Andhra Pradesh and countering Climate Change issues and challenges relating to alleviating poverty, hunger and disease among the people of the of Mountain and Costal and rural peoples, while conserving biodiversity and sustaining vital ecosystem through REDD methodology.

We strive to mitigate GhG emissions and promote to adapt to climate change through Afforestation and Reforestation the sole eligible land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF), activity under the current phase of The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), and promoting through Carbon Credits organizing Joint Forest Management with Chenchu, Yanadi, and with other forest dwelling and dependent communities.
