Broken Chains Ministries, Inc.(BCMI), a faith-based non-profit organization, focusing on the family offering a beacon of hope to men, women, and youth returning home to their neighborhoods and communities of origin after leaving a correctional facility.

BCMI Reentry for a Better Life Program was formed in 2006, as a non-residential intervention program designed to deliver services to and advocate on behalf of men, women and youth within the criminal justice system in Polk, Hardee and Highlands Counties.

The mission of Broken Chains Ministries, is to mobilize and strengthen the human and financial resources of low-moderate wealth individuals, families and neighborhoods by initiating a community economic development strategy which provides the tools needed to achieve self-sufficiency includes— helping individuals and families in transition; providing economic opportunities such as job creation, business development; affordable housing; home ownership, and encouraging the spiritual well-being of the individuals, families and communities we serve.
