E-mail Template for Churches

(personalize beginning if you talked with them—personal contact makes a big difference)

We would love to find ways to partner with your church in your efforts in outreach and urban ministry.   ChristianVolunteering.org is a free search engine of thousands of volunteer & short term missions

opportunities and organizations.  The basic idea is that it works similar to job matching sites like Monster.com, except for volunteers search for and are matched to volunteer opportunities.

Our national partners include the Salvation Army, the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions, Christian Community Development Association, Here’s Life Inner City (Campus Crusade), World Vision and many others.

Our goal is to help get more volunteers serving in ministries to under-resourced communities.  Your church can help partner in that effort in one of the following ways:

1.       Send an E-mail to people in your church letting them know about ChristianVolunteering.org (see sample below)

2.       Making an announcement in church or in your church bulletin about ChristianVolunteering.org (see sample below)

3.       Planning a volunteer day or volunteer opportunities for small groups using our group volunteer opportunity search.

4.       Linking to ChristianVolunteering.org from your website.  (i.e. ChristianVolunteering.org Volunteer & Short Term Missions Search)

5.       Putting our search form on your website using the instructions at: http://www.christianvolunteering.org/searchform.jsp

6.       Helping us in developing a Christian Volunteer web portal for your city.  Send E-mail to info@christianvolunteering.org if interested.

We would love to partner with your ministry in this effort, and we would love to talk more with you about how we could do that.  You can call me at (???)

I wanted to let you know about a new website www.ChristianVolunteering.org which helps connect volunteers to ministries serving under-resourced communities.  The site is a free search engine of thousands of volunteer & short term missions opportunities and organizations.  It works similar to job matching sites like Monster.com, except for volunteers search for and are matched to volunteer opportunities.

Anyway, as our church would love to get more involved in serving “the poor” and under resourced communities, I thought this might be a great way that some of you could find more opportunities to do that.  There is also a search on the site for opportunities that might be appropriate for small groups that want to volunteer together.  You can visit the site at http://www.christianvolunteering.org.
