Kit Clark Senior Services
VITA, an acronym meaning Volunteer Insured Timebanking Association, is a volunteer service credit program. Volunteers, who can be of any age, help Dorchester and Mattapan residents who are sixty or older or disabled with some of the things they can’t do alone. Volunteers receive one service credit for every hour of service. Volunteers can use their credits to get help for themselves or for someone else if needed anytime in the future. Credits can also be donated to a reserve bank where they’re available to the larger population. Volunteer opportunities include: friendly visiting, escorting, and telephone reassurance.
Kit Clark Senior Services is an elder services agency whose mission is to help older adults in Greater Boston live with dignity and independence and remain active in the community.
