[ Story & VISION ]
In the fall of 2003, God stirred in the hearts of two men to look past the reality of what was and to begin dreaming about what could be. What would happen in a community where the church truly functioned as the ?body of Christ?? What would happen in a community where the believers daily lived out the Great Commission? What would happen in a community where the church began a movement so big that only God could make it a reality? The answers are found all throughout Scripture; the world around it wouldn?t be able to ignore it; people would be drawn to their heavenly Father; the lost, confused, and hurting would find love, truth, and forgiveness in Christ; those without direction would find purpose, those who are empty would find fulfillment, those who are lonely would find acceptance, families would be united, needs would be met, people would rejoice, and God would be glorified.
In August of 2005, these two men along with their wives and nine other adults, decided to act on the dream God had given us, and follow His direction to launch such a church. A church that would be all about creating relevant ENVIRONMENTS where the Holy Spirit was free to work in the lives of people; Environments that would be conducive to believers inviting their unchurched friends and relatives to hear the gospel presented in a compelling way; Environments that strategically work together to connect people relationally and equip them in all stages of life. And on Sunday October 2, 2005, NorthView Church launched its first official service at the Lelia Paterson Center in Fletcher, NC.

About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that the men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity and became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort.

About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his or her sin.

About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.

About Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and is a symbol of the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience memorializing the death of Christ.
