St. Joseph Worker Program
The St. Joseph Workers is a volunteer leadership and service program for women, ages 21-35, who want to explore justice,
leadership for social change, spirituality, intentional community and living simply . These values are the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph, and they are a hallmark for this program.
The program is based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and runs from August to June. As part of the Program, each St. Joseph Worker receives:
Room
Board
Health Insurance
Transportation to and from placement
Living allowance
Spirituality and mentoring opportunities
Social Justice Education
Additonal benefits may include:
Graduate or undergraduate course credits through the College of St. Catherine
College loan deferment
Americorps Educational Awards when available
The St. Joseph Worker Program (SJW) is a new kind of volunteer program that trains, supports, and mentors women to be change agents while meeting direct needs in the community and working for justice.
