Meals on Wheels
Organization Description:
Meals on Wheels is a program of Christian Senior Services, which started in 1977 as a joint venture of St. John's and Grace Lutheran Churches to provide home delivered meals to the elderly and an adult day care program. Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers over 600,000 meals annually to over 4,000 homebound elderly. Volunteers deliver just over 40% of the meals and help stretch goverment and private funding so more people may benefit from the service.
