Shalom Ranch serves the Parkland Region in the winter months and reaches out to the world in the summer months. During the school year we work with school children and those referred to us by social services and other local organizations.
In the summer we run a family camp where we host families from all over North America. Many of the children that come are adopted and from different countries. Our camps are a global affair.
Our summer camp entail running a horse program for the emotionally healthy children of the family and an Equine Facilitated Mental Health program for the emotionally disturbed children. We also teach the parents what is going on within their children, how to handle the behavior and help the child heal.
During the school year we run a similar version to what we do at camp, but usually in groups of four youth. We have volunteers from the community come and help in our program.

Our mission is to reach at risk youth using horses as our go between. Many of the youth that we serve have been deeply wounded by people and therefore; no longer trust. It is our mission to reach these youth and show them the Truth through showing them how God really sees them. The horses mirror this truth for us.
