MERCY CHILDREN SELF HELP GROUP was initiated in the year
2005 by kind hearted community of well-wishers of Kiangishiri- Githurai slums in Nairobi - Kenya to care and support orphans and vulnerable children. It is legally registered under the documents registry.
Vision:
Poverty eradication and community empowerment socially, and economically through education. Offered through a Christian world view to enrich and transform the heart as well as the head so that the impact can be life defining. We envision ourselves to be a community of life long learners that embodies harmony, excellence, intergrity, resilience, and stewardship committed to exploiting our full potential in life.

Care and support of orphans and vulnerable children to help them reach their potential in life through education, material support, recreational activities counseling and love, by providing holistic Christian education for students from different background and cultures to be morally upright, innovative and responsive to the needs and challenges of the times. Equipping the students to be life long savant leaders in the community and in the world.
that God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and of man, that the Bible is the only Word of God and is authoritative in every area of life, that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son and that salvation is the free gift of God and that only through regeneration can one receive His gift of eternal life
