TRIBES Development Society (TRIDES) is non- profit Organization, working for the comprehensive development of tribal people in Prakasam District so far. We are a small gross root level non-profits Voluntary organization, which is registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act.1976, with registered no.010330079. We are also come from the same ethnic group. We are trying in our own little way to empower the rural poor Tribal in terms of Education, Income Generation, Youth Training and Health etc. Tribes is working for the development of Tribal sub-castes i.e., YERUKULA & YANADIS which are called plain land tribes and also working with rehabilitation - Reformation of Ex-criminals from Yerukula community, whose want to come back to their normal life and join in the mainstream of the society, so that social victimization can be prevented among the future generations of these suppressed families. Under this program our society has rehabilitate 127 hard-core criminals belonging to the same community. The “Yerukula” Tribe and thus providing them an opportunity for them to lead a civilized and meaningful life. Ours is the only organization redressing the grievances of Ex-criminal Tribes in our State of Andhra Pradesh.
Against the back ground, Mr. M.Bhaskara Rao, the only educated and employed in Central Government Railway Department, who hails from the same tribal community decided to do something better for his community and established the organisated name TRIDES (TRIBES DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY) registered under A.P. State societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.

To import education to the men and especially women of the tribal communities, we have targeted our project for the Yerukulas & YanadhiÂ’s tribal communities, who hail from tribal areas and who are being forced into evil practices, such as theft, robbery, petty crimes, leaving behind the women to become sex workers to over come the day to day poverty hunting them.

Past History : Before getting employmen, He used to do thefts and burglaries. After getting employment in railways as gangman, he continued to steal as and when possible along with his criminal friends.
He started stealing and decoiets since 1965. He was involved in 63 minor & major cases. He was also a hire killer.
We contacted this person in 1995 and convinced him to get surrendered to police so that he can get all legal help from us to come out of the cases and to lead normal life after punishment if any. At on time of surrender there are 16 pending cases against him. We were legally helped he has came out of all 16 cases and under gone imprisonment for 4 years and came of in 2000. He left the criminal activities, accepeted a Jesus Christ as his personal savier and started a small business. He is living a model life and an example to others. We were given Rs. 25,000/- under alternate income generating scheme to his family for cloth business and vegetable rendering for his wife. We were distributed assets to the eneficiaries under alternate income generation scheme. Now he is growing in christian maturity his witness is changing more people in this area. Many people are here like Kripanand. we are planing to give rehabilitation, reformation and good Education spirutal way to their families.
