Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic

Organization Description: 

The Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic (NCLC) is a faith based non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation offering pro bono legal representation and preventive law education to low income families. We accept clients whose income is at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. NCLC has been designated by the IRS as a Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and is a HUD designated Housing Counseling Agency.



Legal Representation:

We provide bi-lingual legal representation in the following civil areas:

Immigration, Landlord/Tenant, Mortgage Foreclosure Issues, Custody/Visitation, Child Support, Bankruptcy, Wills and Estates, Social Security Appeals, and Tax Controversies.



Preventive Law Education:

NCLC partners with a variety of churches, shelters, and non-profit social service agencies to present educational workshops in English and Spanish designed to empower individuals to improve their lives. A majority of workshop participants are either homeless or new immigrants. Topics include:

Immigration Issues, Budgeting/Credit Repair, Landlord/Tenant Issues, Fair Housing, Predatory Lending, Tax Issues, Traffic Law, Health Relationships, Social Security, and Family Law Issues.
