Ascension Catholic School
Ascension Catholic School has been educating children of all denominations in our South Los Angeles community since 1938. From humble beginnings in four classrooms, Ascension can now accommodate up to 350 students in grades K-8 and, with the help of generous benefactors, we opened a Pre-K in September 2008 that can accommodate another 30 children.
Our mission is to provide eager, bright children with a solid education, strong belief system, and values that will serve them well, open their eyes to possibilities, and enable them to achieve their dreams. The families we serve understand the power of education and want to give their children the best start in life possible. Our dedicated faculty and staff share that goal with them.
We are dedicated to offering a quality, faith based education to both Catholics and non Catholics, providing not only academic rigor, but increased spiritual development to strengthen morals and values to help students make good decisions and life choices.
