Open Arms Outreach

Organization Description: 

Open Arms Outreach is a non-profit (501(c)3), charitable, faith-based organization, based in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Currently, there are two communities we are called to serve. First, is the assylees and refugees in Belknap County, New Hampshire. The second is the community of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, with special attention to orphaned children and families at risk.

Mission Statement: 

Restoring the rejected and strengthening families through a holistic approach that is spiritual and practical. We will focus on target populations that would most benefit from our help. Open Arms will offer cross-cultural care especially to new immigrants to feed, clothe, house, educate and acculturate New Americans. By demonstrating the love of Christ both here in NH and abroad, strategic initiatives will be undertaken to best support vulnerable populations.

Organizational Statement of Faith: 

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He reigns as King, and in His personal return to earth in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Messiah, Savior and Lord, and not as the result of good works.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a sanctified, godly life, and to perform service pleasing to the Lord.

We believe in private and public prayer as a relational privilege of grace and as an opportunity and responsibility to participate with God in the accomplishing of His eternal purposes in Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
