Dream Center Teen Discipleship
Dream Center Teen Discipleship (DCTD) operates a licensed group home and private secondary school designed primarily for "troubled" teens. We deal with male and female teens who have behavior problems or are in trouble with the law. Many of our clients have drug problems and anger issues.
To restore "at-risk" teens, to train them to be leaders, and to equip them to make positive lifestyle choices. We accomplish this by using a Christ-centered approach, by training parents and by working alongside other like-minded community organizations.
DCTD Statement of Beliefs
1. We believe the Bible, in its original manuscripts, is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.
2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension, and in His personal return to the earth to judge the living and the dead.
4. We believe people receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
5. We believe in the ordinances of the church: Holy Communion and Water Baptism by immersion at an age of accountability.
6. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 as evidenced by speaking in tongues, and that this baptism is a gift of God not a prerequisite of salvation.
7. We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
8. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a holy life.
9. We believe the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
10. We believe in the reality and personality of the devil or Satan, who works in opposition to all that is good and true in the world, and, as Christians, we are to oppose the schemes, plans, and attacks of the enemy.
11. We believe in the literal resurrection of our bodies to a literal Heaven for all true believers and a literal hell or everlasting punishment for unbelievers.
12. We believe in Christian tolerance to all denominations of the Christian faith.
13. We believe in the one and only true church body composed of all true believers in Christ.
14. We believe "In essentials – unity; in non-essentials – liberty; in all things – charity."
