Nelson Ministries

Nelson Ministires has been collecting, sorting, cleaning, labeling and distirbuting necessary items for the homeless of Denver for the past 8 years. There is alot of "background" need in doing these things as well as the need for drivers to bring the things from New Brighton to downtown Denver and helpers to distribute the clothing and food from 5-7pm on the first and third Friday evenings each month and every Saturday evening from 5-7:30. We also need help making and tieing homemade quilts for the guys at Soul's Harbor Light Shelter. Twice a year we work with the Family Project Homeless Connect of Denver and bring many trucks worth of seasonally appropriate clothing and man the area where Denver's homeless can receive these very needed items. We work with many different churches , schools and local businesses in collecting everything we need. Volunteers willing to help one time or all the time are needed.
