Youth Empowerment Services

Organization Description: 

The Youth Empowerment Services (Y.E.S.) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)community action organization that was founded in 1998 in the state of South Carolina. The vision to form this group was given to Roslin J. Fields, M.Ed. who was born and raised in the downtown Charleston, South Carolina Area. She has taught in various local public schools for more than 25 years and has served as a foster parent. For years, Ms. Fields has been an integral part of organizations that are dedicated to raising the standard in communities.

The Youth Empowerment Services is comprised of over 50 volunteers form various walks of life who possess the passion and desire to touch lives through caring and commitment. The purpose of the organization is to empower youth to avoid at-risk behaviors that may lead to violence, drugs, alcohol, and sex outside of marriage. The organization's ultimate goal is to motivate youth to become productive members of their communities.
