Rocklands Centre
Construction of the Centre began in 1985. Sixty-four campers arrived for the first camp in 1988. Now regarded as one of the best Christian campsites in the Western Cape of South Africa, Rocklands is still growing and changing every year.
Applying for the internship programme, called Solid Ground, will mean you work at Rocklands Centre for a minimum of 6 months. Interns are required to assist with the day-to-day runnings of the campsite as well as hosting camps that come in and running leadership and team-building programmes for the groups which come to our site. Interns work between 8 and 12 hours a day.
South Africa
Rocklands Centre is a very well run campsite in Simon's Twon, South Africa, that has vacancies for up to 5 interns.
We run an internship programme called Solid Ground. The interns live on-site, and receive a small gratuity each month. All food and accomodation needs are provided by the Centre.
Training includes First Aid, Fire, Facilitation, basic abseiling, hosting and large group management.
There are also times when we do physical labour on the mauntain and the campsite. Mornings start with devotions and an excersis programme.
Our theme is "Come Hungry" - from Proverbs 2:10......
