Youth Alive Cheer
Youth Alive Cheer began as an afterschool program at Crossroads of the Rockies in October 2009. YAC offers competitive cheer to at-risk youth in Denver, CO. Skills such as tumbling, stunts, jumps, cheer and dance are taught and 5-7min devotion from the Bible is also given during practice. Teams are given the opportunity to compete at least 5 times, perform for local community events and participate in the Veteran’s and St. Patrick’s Day Parades. The populations we serve are 98% Hispanic, 1% Anglo and 1% African American. We serve both boys and girls ages 6-14 years.
Teach the fundamentals of cheer and establish well rounded individuals through Biblical teachings
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible, both the Tenach (Old Testament) and the Brit HaDashah (New Covenant) is the harmonious, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that God is "echad" (one) as declared in the Shema (Deut. 6:4, a compound unity manifested in three persons, as expressed in Isaiah 48:16-17.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Yeshua the Messiah; that He is the "seed of the woman" as promised in Genesis 3:15 and that His virgin birth was to be a sign to Israel of His Messiahship (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6).
We believe in Messiah’s miracles, yesterday and today, His death as our atonement, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and His future return to establish His Kingdom on earth.
We believe that salvation is only available to those who place their faith in Yeshua’s atonement (Leviticus 17:11, Ephesians 2:8). The regenerating work of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) is absolutely essential to personal salvation.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are saved unto eternal life and they that are lost unto eternal separation from God.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Messiah Yeshua and that all are now partakers of the spiritual inheritance of Israel. However, this unity does not eliminate our individual identities (Ephesians 2:11-18, Galatians 3:26-29, 1Corinthians 7:17-19).
We believe that no one is justified through keeping the Law of Moses (Torah). Rather, the Torah was given as a guide for godly living. Since God is immutable, the spiritual principles embodied in it are binding upon believers today.
We believe in God’s everlasting covenant relationship with the Jewish people including the physical (Land of Israel) and the spiritual blessings (Genesis 12:1-3, 17:1-7, Jeremiah 31:31-37). In the end times, after tribulation, all of Israel will turn to God and accept Yeshua as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11:26.
