Aquinas Literacy Center

Organization Description:

Aquinas Literacy Center offers individualized English language instruction to residents of McKinley Park and other south and southwest side Chicago neighborhoods. We rely heavily on volunteers and offer all of our services at no cost to students.

The majority of our English language instruction comes in the form of one-on-one tutoring. Each week Aquinas welcomes hundreds of volunteer tutors and area students to the center for these sessions. Our tutors use a variety of proven teaching techniques to advance their studentç-´ understanding of English.
