Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center
As an urban outreach Center, we provide a broad array of free services to the community. The activities and programming center around three main objectives: prevention, intervention, and restoration. Prevention and intervention services include counseling, legal and housing referrals, fatherhood initiatives, etc. Restoration services in the form of counseling in a safe, confidential and nurturing environment are provided to clients who are seeking solace following an abortion. We minister to them about God?s forgiveness and help them work through their feelings of shame and sadness and if allowed, encourage them to make healthier choices in the future.
We are able to administer limited medical services. Typical services include, but are not limited to pregnancy testing and confirmation; limited ultrasound (to estimate gestational age; confirm fetal cardiac activity; and detect potential miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy); medical consultation and follow-up calls to at-risk women by medical professionals. Upon seeing their baby during an ultrasound, a woman and man often make a connection that no longer makes abortion an option.
Care Net Atlanta is committed to working within its core competencies and avoiding a duplication of services. The agency therefore maintains informal and formal collaborative relationships with 14+ community service providers.
Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta helps women and men deal positively with an unexpected pregnancy by providing emotional, spiritual and practical support.
Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta was originally established as the Atlanta Family & Crisis Pregnancy Center but later became an affiliate of Care Net National, a nonprofit organization representing approximately 1100 pregnancy centers nationwide. The Atlanta Family & Crisis Pregnancy Center dba Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta (CNPRCA) received incorporation as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit in 2003.
Care Net Atlanta is governed by a nine member board of directors specifically chosen for their fields of expertise and access to community resources. In addition to providing governance and strategic vision, the directors also serve as Ambassadors often reaching out to their ?circle of influence? to further the CNPRCA mission.
