Organization Description: 

Welcoming Gainesville, Inc. was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non profit in December 2015 to make Gainesville and Alachua County, FL welcoming communities for immigrants, refugees, international students and others. The City Commission made Gainesville a Welcoming City in February 2016 and made "Welcoming Gainesville, Inc. "primarily responsible for implementing the goals" with programs, cultural events, and projects. The County Commission followed in June with identical resolutions.
