Hearts In Motion

Hearts In Motion is a not for profit humanitarian aide agency working internationally in Central and South America as well as here at home in the United States. For thirty years Hearts In Motion has served the poorest of the poor in Guatemala helping to provide surgery for children and adults who might not be able to afford medical help. Along with our medical efforts, we have developed educational programs by building daycares and creating a school sponsorship program. Weve also built schools, healthcare centers, orphanages and our own nutrition center for severely malnourished children. Along with our international programs, we are continually working to meet the needs of our local community here at home as well, by supporting homeless shelters, homes for abused women, childrens programs and local rehab centers. Our 2 Resale Shoppes in Schererville and Munster operate like Goodwill in that we take in donations of all kinds and then offer them at outrageously discounted prices in the local community. We also will furnish shelters as well as providing anything needed to families that had to leave behind all belongings in order to get out of a dire situation. We are reaching out to the community to let them know of our services we provide here and offering the opportunity for you or your organization to work with HIM and creating mission trip tailor made for area of interest. Aside from medical trips, we have several other programs that we offer in Guatemala. For example, the vision of Sports In Motion is to see lives changed through exposure to sports and the benefits they provide, not just on the playing field, but in all areas of life. Through sports, a person, community, or country can be steered in a positive healthy direction, which is a desperate need in this part of Guatemala. Some of our other mission trips include but are not limited to Construction Projects, Eyeglass Programs, Nutrition Programs, Dental Programs, Veterinary Programs, Firefighter Programs, Orphanage Programs, Senior Programs/Woman & Children Programs & Voluntourism Trips.
