Organization Description: 

Abu kats medical clinic organization (AKMCO) is a private not for profit, non-governmental and a non-religious affiliated organization with a charity registration number 7288 in Kampala, Uganda. It started 2013, as a medical doctors volunteer group.

Aiming at improving general health and well-being, with more attention to Mental Health, Maternal and Child Health, Common diseases and HIV/AIDS in economically challenged and remote communities, by providing free medical care, consultations, guidance, counseling, and outreach services without discrimination recognizing the value of our many differences. In such a way, aid in reducing mortality and morbidity rates using locally available resources. All done through our volunteers team. Currently AKMCO, is headed by a practicing Medical doctor, and we aid in Health research, Health Education, Community Diagnosis, and specific Health Centre visits where we offer Counseling, Management of common infectious and non infectious diseases, Health Education, Patient management including dispensing of drugs, Family Planning and Immunization at the end of which we return a report about the state of health to the particular community/health centre we have visited. As a partial fulfillment of our aim and objectives and for a better nation we wish to execute this project, and we believe that we have the capacity to do so, as explained herein.
