Adventist Community Services of Greater Pittsburgh

Organization Description:

Adventist Community Services of Greater Pittsburgh (ACS-GP) first arrived in Pittsburgh in September 2004, after Hurricane Ivan had struck Pittsburgh. ACS-GP provided disaster relief and assistance to the communities hardest hit by the flooding from the hurricane. Once here in the community ACS-GP saw how much the community needed and decided to stay and help a community to get back on its feet. ACS-GP has helped through food, water, clothing and furniture distribution, rent assistance, utility assistance, home repairs, referrals to other agencies and community revitalization through business development.
