Organization Description: 

African Foundation for People In Need [affpin] is a local Christian faith based organization founded in the year 2002; to respond to the cries of the most unfortunate rural children; our office on Market Street, plot 114 Mayanja building in Lugazi Township 50km east of Kampala. Affpin was established to develop solutions for the needs of the most in need in the rural populations identified the unfortunate families and communities in the rural.

The [affpin] vision is to provide education opportunities to all orphans in the rural, the neglected children from the poorest of the poor background in the rural; and provision of basic domestic care to the most in need.

The Affpin mission is to reach-out to neglected orphans and children of the poorest of the poor populations in the rural; develop solutions for the needs of the unfortunate; reach-out the neglected and the orphaned children who couldn?t go to school because they lack their care providers; reach-out to these kids before they get on street, before they turn crime, use of heave drugs and child prostution, provide the parental care and love they lack, share the love and care of God in the Gospel so that the neglected may in future turn to be responsible persons, good citizens and important individuals of their own community who in future may sustain and develop their communities.

We are currently taking care of 10 orphans at the orphanage as 374 more children continue to live with their desperate care givers while coming at the orphanage school [Manjeri Children?s School. While we compare the vast number of the needy kids under our care on Nantwala and the surrounding villages, we realize the need for classrooms and dormitory block is real and very urgent to take in more children and even be able to reach-out more in need in this region.
