Hospice is a health care program that provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients with life-limiting illnesses to enable the best quality of life for the patient. Hospice allows the patient to live the remainder of his or her life at home in comfort with dignity.
A hospice volunteer is a special part of the hospice team. They are people who wish to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill or those who are grieving by giving their time to assist the patient, family member or the office staff.
