American Children's Orchestras for Peace

Organization Description:

The American ChildrenÂ?s Orchestras for Peace was founded with the visionary support of Dr. Michael Nobel, the great-grand Nephew of Alfred Nobel of the Nobel Peace Prizes and Chairman of the Nobel Charitable Trust. All children participating in the program have access to free instruments, free music lessons, and are guided by dedicated and qualified music teachers. By developing their musical skills, students are able to expand their career options and improve their quality of life.

ACOP believes that by promoting music culture, tolerance and understanding between children from different backgrounds, we are creating a variety of ethnically diverse and enriched communities. We seek to involve the general community of Miami-Dade in our music programs through free concerts at schools, parks and other institutions throughout the city.
