Anna Ogden Hall
Anna Ogden Hall, an outreach of Union Gospel Mission Ministries, introduces women and children to the love of Christ in a secure environment that promotes dignity and God-centered personal growth.
Established in 1971, this warm, welcoming, home-like shelter can house 65-85 women and children in 33 guest rooms. Hundreds of women and children reside at the shelter every year.
For over a quarter of a century, the caring people of our community have given time, talent, and resources to help the women and children seeking shelter at Anna Ogden Hall. They volunteer in very practical ways, serving countless hours in areas such as the Children?s Center, Beauty Shop, Kitchen, Clothing Room, or grounds. Groups or families can Adopt-a-Family or Adopt-a-Room, help with food drives, or lend their skills to specific projects.
When a woman arrives at Anna Ogden Hall, it?s often one of the most frightening times of her life. Distraught and lonely, she and her children are welcomed with open arms and shown to their quiet and beautifully decorated room, where they can begin to feel loved and secure.
Most of the women who enter the doors of Anna Ogden Hall hide wounded hearts, hardened by years of emotional pain. In addition to individual and group counseling, these women hear about the hope that can be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
