Organization Description: 

The H-GAC is a voluntary association of local governments and local elected officials. The AAA is a department of the H-GAC and serve 12 counties in the Gulf Coast Area: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Ft. Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller and Wharton. The AA manages the Older Americans Act and other state funded programs, such as: Access & Assistance, Congregate & Home Delivered Meals, Homemaker Services, Case Management, Information & Referral, Legal/Benefits Counseling, Transportation, Elder Abuse Awareness, Advocacy and Ombudsman/Advocate for residents in long-term care.
