Aurora Primary School
Aurora Primary School began ten years ago in Ivory Park, one of the largest squatter camps in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are now located on a small farm in the Bapsfontein community. We are a small, Christian, private school that serves the underprivileged children in the area. Some of our children have HIV/AIDS or have been orphaned by the disease.
We have 136 children at present and of that number 106 board at the school Monday through Friday. We provide their physical, emotional, spiritual as well as their educational needs.
Aurora depends on school fees, which are few, and donations to sustain the daily operations.
Aurora believes that each child should be encouraged in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to assist them in preparation for God's purpose in their lives.
