Mission Statement:

The mission of Bags Not Rags (BNR), a not-for-profit charity benefiting foster children in the United States, is to maximize the effectiveness of every dollar contributed to charity by providing foster children with luggage-style bags to transport their belongings and to ensure that these children only see garbage bags where they belong…in a garbage can.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

Our Christian faith is at the center of who we are and how we help foster children. We do all we can to run the organization, Bags Not Rags, upon the Statement of Faith below. It is so easy to help stop the practice of foster children using trash bags as luggage. Call us today at 318-754-2800 or via our contact form to help foster children in your area.

WE BELIEVE in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally co-existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Duet. 6:4; Heb. 1:1-3; Matt.3:16-17, 28:18-19; John 15:26; II Cor. 13:14)

WE BELIEVE the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind, and the divine and final authority for all faith and life.
(II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:19-21; Eph. 1:13; Deut. 8:3; Psa. 119; Is. 40:8; Acts 20:32)

WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.
(Isa. 7:14; Isa. 53; Rom. 1:3-4, 3:23-26, 5:6-21, 8:1-3, 34; Eph. 1:20, 4:7-10; Col. 2:9; 1 Tim. 2:5)

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for believers in Jesus Christ and that He makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers and enables them to live in a manner that honors God.
(Titus 3:4-7; John 7:37-39, 14;16-18; Eph. 3:16-19; Rom. 8:11-16)

WE BELIEVE that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and His physical resurrection provide the only ground for justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all who believe, and only those who trust in Him alone are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become Children of God.
(Rom. 3:21-31; I Cor. 15:1-7; II Cor. 5:21; John 1:12-13; Gal. 2:16)

WE BELIEVE in the blessed hope - The return of Christ to Earth.
(Luk. 21:27; acts 1:11; Heb. 9:28)
