Banda Children's Ministry

History: BCM was founded in 2010 with the vision to improve childrens living conditions and families around our community. To help create a world where all Gods children will grow up in a stable, loving family and develop a decent life.

16/03/2016 was officially registered as a Christian nonprofit organization with registrar of Community Based Organization in Uganda. BCM launched the Health Program in Uganda to provide emergency health interventions and family placement interventions for abandoned children. While BCM continues to serve children living in orphanage, over the last few years BCM has also been working on orphan prevention and child placement Mission: At Banda Children Ministry, or BCM, our mission is to share the love of Christ and help in the prevention of street children and support family placement by empowering children, families and communities unite and reconciling Gods children back to him, nurture excellent and highly motivated learners in a caring, safe, secure environment and be able to adopt to all situations by empowering children and communities through abandonment prevention, orphanage support and family placement solutions. Prevention: BCM abandonment prevention programs empower parents to care for their children through parent education, heath interventions, nutrition assistance and daycare services. Support: BCM provides support to families and communities. Our goal is to empower childrens homes to become clean, healthy and filled with Gods word. We strive to first support caregivers, so they can best support their children. Solutions: BCM works toward orphan placement by promoting short-term and long-term placements in foster families and relatives. At BCM Transition Home, children can live temporarily in a family home environment before transitioning into a foster family OR relatives. How: We accomplish our goals by working alongside every one by forming effective partnerships. BCM works globally with volunteers, churches, mission teams, non-profit agencies,sponsors and donors in the whole world. Vision: Banda Children Ministry ultimate goal is to help create a world where all Gods children will grow up in a stable, loving family.
