We build productive relationships when everyone in the Bellewood family is guided by the following values:


Accountability
We cannot always choose what happens in our lives but we can choose our response. The power to make positive choices gives everyone the ability to direct their own lives and be accountable for their own choices.


Christian Values
Founded upon Christian values, Bellewood has operated for more than 150 years as a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Our approach to spiritual guidance is to expose, educate and inform while always allowing individual choice and growth.


Compassion
Significant events occur in individual?s lives and can cause dynamic behavior. Thoughtfully understanding these events and behaviors assists individuals to mature and function effectively.


Diversity
Our lives are enriched when we fully embrace and encourage the diversity of individuals and ideas.


Opportunity
Challenges are a normal part of human experience but any crisis can be an opportunity for growth and positive change. Seizing the opportunity to reframe negative events creates an atmosphere for individual and agency success.


Professionalism
There are a number of reasons one action or approach is selected over another. Sometimes necessity requires using what works regardless of whether or not it is supposed to work. We want to select what offers the most promise for individual success.
