Boaz & Ruth
The Boaz & Ruth training center located at 3030 Meadowbridge Road provides job training, life skills, and emotional competencies classes for people who are moving from poverty to self-sufficiency. Many of these individuals have been incarcerated. Our goal is for trainees to no longer look to society to support themselves but look to themselves to support society.
One long term goal of Boaz & Ruth is for Highland Park to become a safe beautiful, thriving corridor supported by local residents who claim ownership for revitalization. Through growing business in Highland Park ,Boaz & Ruth provides employment experience for trainees while joining other neighborhood merchants in serving as an ecomonic catalyst.
Boaz & Ruth also seeks for relationships to developed, stereotypes changed and bridges built across divisions in Richmond. Specifically, we bring together program participants with individuals from other areas of Richmond together in monthly events that cross economic, geographic, cultural, and racial divides.
