Bronx Bible Church

Organization Description:

After years of wandering, Bronx Bible Church finally found a home in the Bronx River Community and opened our doors on July 15, 2001. We praise God that the community has welcomed us with open arms and our congregation is doing all we can to make a difference

Every Sunday morning at Bronx Bible Church people of different colors and cultures gather together to worship the Lord as one. We do all we can to treat everyone like family, and make our visitors feel welcome. God is not a ‘respecter of persons’ and neither are we. We believe that this friendly atmosphere sets us apart from most churches.

We have several ministries that address the needs of the people in our community:

PREMIER AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: A free service offered to the parents in our community. Homework help, extracurricular activities, character training, and bible teaching are provided by Certified teachers and excellent assistants.

YOUTH MINISTRY; The teen ministry meets on Friday nights at 7:30. Our leaders provide an exciting and relevant program for teens in grades 7-11. In addition we host regular and special events during the year to provide a safe, fun, and positive social environment. Visit for more information.

YOUNG ADULTS: Our Young Adults ministry includes high school seniors all the way up to 30 years old. Couples in this age range, with or without children, are also welcome. We meet every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm for informal and open conversations about topics relevant to this generation. We challenge participants to think for themselves, and question popular worldviews in light of the truth. Monthly socials are also a vital part of this ministry providing much needed fellowship, and opportunities to invite friends that might otherwise resist.

WOMEN: Need picture Almost every month, the ladies of Bronx Bible Church, get together for fun fellowships filled with food, chatting, games, and devotions. In addition, once a year, our ladies attend a wonderful retreat at Word of Life Inn and enjoy delicious food, uplifting music, much needed relaxation, and excellent Bible teaching. We do our best to make every lady feel welcome and special at all of our fellowships and retreats. And in times of need our ladies also participate in hospitality ministries such as visiting the sick, or elderly, and providing meals for those who have suffered loss.

FOOD PANTRY: Our food pantry provides us the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to the Bronx River Community. Several of the recipients have visited our church and some of them attend regularly. The food pantry is usually open the third Saturday of every month. Changes in this schedule are always posted on our front door.

COUNSELING: Need picture: Our pastor has a Master’s Degree in Divinity and over 25 years of experience in counseling.
