brookdale christian church
Brookdale is a family / neighborhood church, of about 150 members. Looking to grow our children's ministry and reach the unchurched in our diverse community.
At Brookdale, our commitment to knowing and loving God and each other is not a religious ritual, it is a relational pursuit. In this pursuit of true relationship with God and with each other, we seek to offer quality community and ministry to people in search of authentic relationship with God. We are a body of believers who hunger and thirst for truth and in love, seek to bridge people with the life-changing power of the gospel. It is our heart to know Gods heart and to help others find the healing and hope that can only come through the life changing embrace of Gods love.
Brookdale Christian Church is a vibrant Christian community that is committed to being a family of believers walking and growing together in Gods love. We believe family is about love, care, comfort, and companionship. It is also about growth, challenge, and celebration in an atmosphere of authentic community. We understand the need for warm friendship in a cold and troubled world. It is our hope that we will have the opportunity to minister to you in His love.
We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired of God, and is of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in the supernatural as the vital element in the revelation and operation of the Christian faith.
We believe in one God eternally in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man, and is the only and sufficient Mediator between God and man.
We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit and that His ministry is to reveal Christ to men in the regeneration and sanctification of their souls.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that He sinned and thereby incurred spiritual death.
We believe in the vicarious death of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins, in the resurrection of His body, His ascension into Heaven, and His personal and visible future return to the earth; and salvation is received only through personal faith in Him.
We believe that baptism is immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; setting forth the essential facts in redemption the death and resurrection of Christ; also essential facts in the experience of the believer death to sin and resurrection to newness of life; and that the Lords Supper is a commemoration of the Lords death until He comes.
We believe that a New Testament Church is a body of believers thus baptized, associated for worship, service, the spread of the Gospel and the establishing of the Kingdom in all the world.
