Capitol Ministries
As an extension of the local church, Capitol Ministries is training and placing state directors as full-time disciple makers in seats of government for the purpose of teaching God???s Word, evangelizing the lost and challenging leaders to develop and live out biblical convictions.
Capitol Ministries is not a political organization. State directors do not lobby or fight for legal change in the halls of government. Instead they seek to reach political leaders at every level of government in their state with the heart-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ.
Capitol Ministries exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ within the political arena. Our goal is to reach every political leader in the world, at every level of government, every year, with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our strategy is to place one full-time disciplemaker in each of America's 50 state capitols, launch a ministry in Washington, D.C. and plant ministries in other capital cities around the world.
We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential through faith in Christ alone.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of the life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
