Care and Share Shoppes
Organization Description:
The Care and Share Shoppes contribute to the world-wide work of Mennonite Central Committee, meeting human need in the name of Christ. MCC works to demonstrate God's love and strives for peace, justice and dignity of all people.
We are comprised is three thrift stores where we resell donated items of clothing, shoes, jewelry, houseware, books, toys, furniture and small applicances. We also have a Ten Thousand Villages. Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. We work with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing.
