CASA of SoLA
CASA volunteers investigate the facts of a case and offer their child trust and advocacy during their time in foster care. While volunteers do not replace a social worker, they do provide crucial background information that assists judges in court.
No special background or education is required to become a CASA volunteer. Everything you need to know will be covered during training, which are year-round. Our volunteer advocates, once trained, serve as a powerful voice for abused and neglected children in the foster care system within Acadia, Lafayette and Vermilion Parishes.

The mission of CASA of South Louisiana, is to recruit and support carefully selected quality community volunteers. In an effort to find each child a safe, nurturing, and permanent home, these volunteers are trained to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.
