Catholic Charities- Hogar Immigrant Services
Education Services The Education department offers six levels of English classes to adults at numerous sites throughout the Diocese. The year-round classes are held mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the students and their busy lives. Volunteer instructors teach English skills using a curriculum developed by staff specifically for adults in the Washington, DC metro area. Citizenship classes are also offered at several locations for immigrants preparing to take the naturalization examination.

Hogar Immigrant Services responds to the Church's call for social justice by "welcoming the stranger" to this country (Matthew 25:35), regardless of ethnicity, religion, nationality, or ability to pay.
Our goal is for immigrants to achieve self-sufficiency and to participate fully in the greater community. We achieve this goal by offering a combination of legal consultation & representation; English-language instruction & other educational programs; naturalization assistance; and social services.
Hogar Immigrant Services is a leader in providing high-quality services at a fair cost in the Diocese of Arlington. We accomplish this through the continued generosity of our donors and through the dedicated service of our well-trained staff and volunteers.
