Catholic Charities Treatment Family Homes Program
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen's Treatment Family Homes Program is contracted with the State of New Jersey to license families as Treatment Families or Boarder Baby Families to care for foster children with a history of abuse or neglect. These children are in need of a loving, stable home as well as supportive and clinical services provided by our program. A licensed Clinician provides in-home therapy and case management to each child in our treatment homes and a Counselor provides case management for each young child in our Boarder Baby homes.
The Treatment Family Homes Program recruits, trains, assesses and prepares families to provide nurturing, stable homes to children in need of a therapeutic home environment, given the past trauma of abuse, neglect, and multiple out-of-home placements they have experienced. Children in the Treatment Program receive individual and family therapy along with services to the birth family and support to the treatment home family. Children in the Boarder Baby Program receive case management and supportive services to ensure all their needs are being met.
