CCEO YouthBuild

Organization Description:

The Century Center for Economic Opportunity (CCEO) YouthBuild is a non-profit charter high school that serves disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16-24. We provide opportunities to earn a high school diploma, training and certification in the construction field, and leadership skill development. Our youth experience an array of hardships that range from drug addiction, homelessness, anger issues, prior incarceration, gang affiliation, etc. They have made the decision to make a positive change in their lives through our program.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide job and life training, construction skills, self-esteem and leadership skills for at-risk young people. These goals are achieved though our leadership development training program. Our education program provides an opportunity to obtain a high school education and diploma in a charter school environment. In addition, to rebuild the neighborhoods we serve, we acquire and renovate neglected housing into secure and attractive homes for low to moderate income families in the Los Angeles area.
