Centre for Maasai Development

Organization Description:

CFMD serves to improve the quality of life in the subject areas by offering basic and affordable health care, childhood immunizations and Information on HIV/AIDS education/awareness and care. We promote universal education among underprivileged children so as to enable them emerge as productive assets in society. CFMD attempts to discourage female genital mutilation to enable young Maasai girls escape early marriages and continue with their education. Our other projects include water and microfinance in an area where there is no collateral. It has been proved that Microfinance schemes will enhance people's capacity and accelerate their escape from poverty.
