BACKGROUND- INFORMATION
Christian Children’s Centre Uganda (CCCU) is a local charity organization founded in 2003 and registered in 2008 as a Community Based Organization (CBO) No. WCBO/098/08 registered by Wakiso District and in 2011, (CCCU) got registered as an NGO by the Uganda NGO Board No. S.5914/9089. The organization is located in Nansana Town Council Wakiso district Uganda, 6 kilometers from Kampala city on the great Nansana Eastern Ring Road. (CCCU) is currently operating in the district of Wakiso specifically in the sub Counties of Nansana Town Council, Nabweru Sub County and Wakiso Town.
(CCCU) intends to improve the livelihood of the most vulnerable, orphaned, abandoned children in Wakiso District, Although CCCU’s primary target is children, it realized that a child cannot live in isolation and that the whole family must be empowered to ensure the child has the best chance to develop and realize his full potential,
(CCCU) undertakes activities such as Providing Primary health care services, livelihoods programs , Schools sponsorships, Home based care, Food nutritional support, Counseling &Guidance, Bible Studies, Community outreach programs, Vocational skills, Volunteer services and by networking and giving information on existing available services for HIV positive individuals (HIV voluntary testing, Anti Retro Viral drugs, etc.)
