Christian Community Service Center/Clare Bruce
The Christian Community Service center is a coalition of 37 churches in the Houston, Tx inner city. We service thousands of people annually through one or more of our six programs. Our programs consist of an Emergency Services area which assits clients in crisis six days per week. JobNet is a job readiness program. We empower people to find work if they are unemployed or better work if they are under employed. Martha's Way is a vocational training program where we assist people in setting up domestic housekeeping business. This is done through a series of classes that instruct participants in the technical skills of housekeeping, Business 101 & 102 and ESL classes. Our Youth Services program consists of a Back to School program, Jingle Bell Express and a Vision Care program. We have a Community Garden that grows produce that is distributed to our ES clients. Our Sunshine Resale Shop is a fund raising venue for us. Also, low income customers are able to purchase useful household items and clothing.
