christian educational ministries

Organization Description:

Christian Educational Ministry is a Kenyan registered interdenominational christian organization that was formed in 2003 and registered in 2004 with the Registrar of Societies.
CEM-Kenya is run by a Management Board of 13 saved people drawn from diverse backgrounds and volunteer staff of 4 people who are proffessionally qualified.

Every Christian Educational Ministry worker is committed to live out four Biblical principles: Faith, Sacrifice, Holiness, and Fellowship.

Faith
We recognize that God is the supplier of every need in our lives and ministries. Therefore we can trust Him totally to accomplish all that He wishes, in spite of any opposition, difficulty or apparent impossibilities that we might experience.

Sacrifice
God's will takes preference to our own in daily living. Personal comfort and desires do not come first. If necessary, we are prepared to live a life of privation and loneliness without regard to economic security or current trends and standards of living.

Holiness
We aim to live a life which is pleasing to God in thought, word and deed, not in our own strength but through the power of the Spirit.

Fellowship
CEM workers are drawn from various denominational, national and ethnic backgrounds. We believe our oneness in Christ makes it possible for us to live and work together as brothers and sisters; therefore we make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We Believe in:

* the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct;
* one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existent in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
* the deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory;
* the universal sinfulness and guilt of all mankind since the Fall, rendering man subject to God's wrath and condemnation;
* redemption through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit as absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man;
* the justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ;
* the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is empowered for godly living and service;
* the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
* the spiritual unity in our Lord Jesus Christ of believers who comprise the Church, His body, which is committed by His command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.
